Mark 9.30-41
If anyone wants to be first, he must be last and servant of all. (Mark 9.35, CSB)
This saying of Jesus flies in the face of our worldly culture and the constant barrage of information, social media, and news that we consume on a daily basis. Saying that Jesus call us to a life that is counter-cultural . . .

Isaiah 54.1-17
Having been studying in Psalm 46 this week in preparation for Sunday chapel services, I couldn't help notice the connection between Isaiah's promises in verse 10 and the Psalmist's words of hope and confidence.

2 Thessalonians 2.1-12

Only in the last couple of centuries, with the rise of Dispensationalism (think Schofield bible), have Christians really considered . . .

Isaiah 6.1-13
There are a couple of interesting things to point out from today's Old Testament passage. The first thing that struck me in consulting the Fathers is the unanimity with which they find the Trinity referenced and worshiped in the angelic cry, "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Armies/Hosts!" Fulgentius is . . .
