At 1:28 am (EDT) today the shuttle Endeavour lifted off from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, and made a safe, flawless, and beautiful ascent to space. The last two weeks have been exceedingly busy due to my involvement working the STS-122/1E Space Shuttle mission. My small part in the EVA (i.e. spacewalk) world allows me to see, experience, and participate in some of the most exciting aspects of human spaceflight...in short, I have one of the coolest jobs in the world.
