"O Lord, our Lord, great and awesome God, we, Your needy children, hear with terror and trembling what a fearsome tempest, roaring, and fury You have stirred up, by which You indicate to the ungodly and wicked world Your righteous wrath and the punishment justly deserved. O Lord, do not look at our great sins, but graciously release us from them. Set us free from all afflictions, and assist us in our misery. Rebuke the tempestuous wind to relent from its terrible blast and rage. Restrain Satan, that he may not have any power over our life and limb, house and home, possessions and property. Defend us from dangerous conflagration and from all hard to home and building, man and cattle, by land or sea. Dear Father, let us be enclosed in Your mighty hand and there remain; and neither this wind nor any other creature in heaven or on earth will be ever able to hard us or tear us from You. Save us, Lord God, and we shall be saved, that afterward we may able able to thank You heartily, obey Your Word, and glorify You continually, both here and hereafter, for the sake of Your dear Son, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Savior. Amen."
